A fine choice. Lodbrok has chosen Killing in the name of... as his entrance music. Ivar Lodbrok will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Paul Wani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ivar Lodbrok!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wani blocks a leg kick.
Jab, jab by Lodbrok - just one landing.
Lodbrok misses with a low kick.
Wani takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wani throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lodbrok stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wani thows a leg kick but Lodbrok checks it
and Wani takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lodbrok on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wani has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Lodbrok.
Wani uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lodbrok.
Lodbrok throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Wani throws a big shot that misses.
Lodbrok ducks right into an uppercut from Wani.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wani cracks the inside of Lodbrok's front leg.
Wani bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Ivar Lodbrok has been cut.
Wani connects with a single shot there.

Lodbrok cracks Wani with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Wani looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lodbrok finish him?

Wani is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lodbrok uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wani.
Oh Wani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lodbrok takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lodbrok cracks Wani on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Wani falls backwards against the cage. Lodbrok follows up with more strikes that drop Wani to his knees. Lodbrok keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Wani! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivar Lodbrok!
After the fight, Ivar Lodbrok was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
