Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jose Porrada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Uriiz Monai!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monai lands with a good body shot.
Monai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Porrada swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Porrada drops down looking for a counter takedown but Monai sprawls and moves away.
Nice shot lands for Monai.


It looks like Jose Porrada has been cut.
Monai is looking to clinch but Porrada is avoiding it.
Porrada appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Monai dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Monai moves into the clinch.
Porrada is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Monai is defending well.
Monai is working Porrada over against the cage.

Porrada works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Monai working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Porrada.
Monai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Porrada throws a big right hand that misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Monai is trying to control the position but Porrada postures up.

Porrada throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Monai preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Porrada is working Monai over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Porrada accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Porrada postures up in Monai's guard and throws a big left but Monai blocks it.

Monai wants to sweep here but Porrada controlling him for the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Monai dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Porrada shoots in but Monai avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And Monai tries to counter it with a takedown but Porrada pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Porrada is breathing heavily.
Monai bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Monai closes the distance and clinches.
Monai lands with a short shot to the head.

Monai lands a hook that snaps the head of Porrada backwards.
Porrada blocks a body shot from Monai.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Monai.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Still in the clinch, Monai scores with a nice short uppercut.
Monai tries to work over Porrada's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Monai lands with a short punch from the clinch.


Porrada is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Monai wants to break the clinch but can't.
A nice left hand lands by Monai.
Monai lands a left hand that snaps the head of Porrada backwards.
Monai scores with a shoulder strike.
Oh Porrada is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Monai is leaning against Porrada and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Monai digs a right hand underneath Porrada's ribcage. Porrada let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Porrada seems to have got his legs back now.

A nice left hand lands by Monai.

Monai drops Porrada onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Porrada is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Monai scores with a shoulder strike.
Monai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Monai lands a left hand.
A frustrated look appears on Monai's face as he tries to break the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Monai.

Monai stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Monai lands a shoulder strike.
Monai works on Porrada's body with a couple of short punches.
Monai lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Porrada backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Uriiz Monai dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jose Porrada's cut.
That's time! Porrada's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Monai engages and cracks Porrada with a massive lead left hook - Porrada tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Monai is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Uriiz Monai!
Uriiz Monai decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
