The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carroll lands a nice shot to the body.

Tres gets a double leg takedown into Carroll's guard.

Tres drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tres jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tres missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Carroll is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tres dives into side control.
Carroll is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Carroll knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tres on the ground.
Carroll is looking for a sweep.
Tres sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Carroll is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Carroll is trying to control Tres's posture but Tres avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tres is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Carroll knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Tres has hold of Carroll's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Carroll tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tres cranks the arm and Carroll screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Carroll, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
