Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivers clips Blake with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Blake a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.

It looks like Alonso Blake has been cut.
Rivers tries to clinch there but Blake circles away.

and Blake makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Blake counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rivers tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Blake manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blake connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Mike Rivers has been cut.
Mike Rivers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rivers cracks Blake with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Blake is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Blake is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Blake could not beat the count!
