Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Lukas Niemayer and Rollo Gracie. Rollo Gracie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 1 losses; Lukas Niemayer! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 0 losses; Rollo Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Niemayer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Niemayer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Niemayer walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gracie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Niemayer closes the distance and pushes Gracie back into the cage.
Niemayer tries for a takedown. No joy.

Niemayer turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Niemayer manages to end up in side control.

Niemayer is trying to move to mount but Gracie reverses beautifully and ends up in Niemayer's guard.

Niemayer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Niemayer is controlling Gracie's trapped leg to prevent Gracie from advancing to side control.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Niemayer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

It looks like Gracie might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Niemayer wants to control but Gracie is having none of it.
Niemayer is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gracie has taken his back.

Well, with Gracie on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Niemayer is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Gracie is controlling the position but Niemayer somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Niemayer's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Niemayer is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Niemayer and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gracie is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Niemayer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gracie gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Niemayer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gracie lets go of the hold and Niemayer can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rollo Gracie!
