Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rigel Arsscott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanley Kimmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanley Kimmons has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rigel Arsscott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stanley Kimmons!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arsscott closes the distance and clinches.

Arsscott gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kimmons regains guard.

Kimmons has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Arsscott is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Kimmons looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kimmons wants to take the fight to the mat but Arsscott manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Arsscott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Arsscott scores with a takedown into Kimmons's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Arsscott wants to stand but Kimmons has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Kimmons can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Arsscott controls the pace.

Kimmons had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Arsscott defends it easily.

Kimmons is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Arsscott defends well.

Arsscott wants to get up but he can't break Kimmons's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Arsscott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimmons has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arsscott has managed to get both his arms back between Kimmons's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Arsscott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kimmons, up you get!
Arsscott scores with a one two! Kimmons had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Stanley Kimmons has been cut.
Arsscott throws a right and a left that Kimmons avoids nicely.

Arsscott shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Arsscott was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Arsscott decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kimmons to his feet.

Arsscott closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kimmons's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Arsscott fails to land with a series of punches.

Arsscott fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kimmons sprawls well initially but Arsscott persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kimmons manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Arsscott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kimmons manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Arsscott throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kimmons tries to counter by closing the distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kimmons or perhaps it was just good defense by Arsscott, which made it look bad.

Kimmons is breathing heavily.

Kimmons is trying to keep Arsscott in close.

Arsscott thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kimmons has his foot on Arsscott's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Arsscott works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Arsscott is pushing down on Kimmons's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kimmons is fighting to maintain full guard but Arsscott has managed to sneak the leg through.

Arsscott seems to be working for a kimura but Kimmons defends the submission attempt.

Arsscott is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kimmons sees it coming and defends easily.

Arsscott passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kimmons!

Arsscott lands a couple of good shots and Kimmons has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Arsscott is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kimmons is defending well though. Arsscott let's go of the attempt for now.

Arsscott is persistently looking for the submission but Kimmons is defending it well.

Kimmons just trying to survive but Arsscott is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Kimmons is trying to stand back up.

Kimmons is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Arsscott gets his way!
Rigel Arsscott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kimmons is in a bad position with Arsscott working for a choke. Kimmons manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kimmons drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kimmons jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kimmons takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Arsscott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kimmons drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Kimmons as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Arsscott screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Kimmons! Nice submission victory there!
