Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hal Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Sernas!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sernas.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sernas.
As Sernas tries to get set, Santos tries to push him back and clinch up but Sernas manages to avoid the attempt.
Sernas has a takedown stuffed.
Sernas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Santos's calf.
Sernas avoids the body shot from Santos.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sernas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sernas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sernas's corner calls for a 1-2. Sernas obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Santos. Sernas does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sernas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Santos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sernas.
Hal Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Sernas.

Santos closes the distance and pushes Sernas back into the cage.
Sernas wants a takedown but no success here.
Sernas is looking to control Santos's arms but Santos gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sernas has his back to the cage.
Santos content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Santos prevents Sernas from breaking the clinch.
Sernas tries to land knees in the clinch but Santos avoids the damage to the body.
Sernas is trying to pull guard but Santos has him pressed against the cage.

Santos stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Sernas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sernas tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Santos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Santos stuffs the takedown.
Sernas dives in for a single leg takedown but Santos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Sernas gets a double leg takedown into Santos's guard.

Santos manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sernas throws a front kick aimed at Santos's knee but Santos avoids it well.
Sernas tries for a takedown but Santos circles away easily

and Santos counters by moving into the clinch.
Sernas looks winded!
Sernas jumps guard but Santos stands there with Sernas around his waist. Sernas gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sernas wants a takedown but no success here.

Santos has Sernas pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Santos pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sernas tumbling to the mat - Santos dives into Sernas's guard.
Santos keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sernas's head.
Santos is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sernas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sernas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Santos defends well.
Santos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Santos distracts Sernas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Santos is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Santos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Santos distracts Sernas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Santos with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Santos drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Santos as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Sernas screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Santos! Nice submission victory there!
