PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Engelbreckt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaun-Paul Fredrickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jaun-Paul Fredrickson!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Engelbreckt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fredrickson, pushing him back against the cage.

Engelbreckt is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fredrickson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Engelbreckt to the mat. Engelbreckt regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fredrickson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Engelbreckt's coaches at Ultimate MMA Training Center have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Fredrickson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
