Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigurd Ragnarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer comes to the cage accompanied by GSP - Not Impressed. Ragnarsson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Animal. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ragnarsson moves out of range of the strikes.
Ragnarsson looks to score with a jab to the body but Palmer is just out of range.
Ragnarsson scores with a nice strike.
Ragnarsson connects with the punch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Palmer, as that shot connected.
Ragnarsson slips under a jab.
Ragnarsson feints the counter takedown.
No luck for Palmer with that takedown attempt.
Ragnarsson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Palmer slips a jab from Ragnarsson.
Ragnarsson slips a straight right by Palmer.
Ragnarsson takes a swing at Palmer's ribcage but misses.
Palmer wants to clinch.

Ragnarsson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Palmer sprawls well. Palmer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ragnarsson gets slowly back to his feet.
Palmer was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Palmer tries to clinch up but Ragnarsson circles away and keeps his distance.
Ragnarsson moves out of range as Palmer strikes.

Ragnarsson dips to his left and cracks Palmer with an uppercut!
Palmer lands a right hook to the body.
Palmer throws an overhand right that lands on Ragnarsson's shoulder, as Ragnarsson tries to avoid the shot.
Palmer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Palmer swings for the body but Ragnarsson moves out of range.
Ragnarsson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Palmer defends it well.
Ragnarsson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Palmer.
Santiago Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ragnarsson swats away the attempt to clinch by Palmer.
Palmer wants to clinch up but Ragnarsson keeps it at a distance.

Palmer takes the fight into the clinch.

Ragnarsson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Palmer shoots in and drives through. Ragnarsson sprawls well.
Ragnarsson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Ragnarsson looks to throw the jab but Palmer is out of range.

Ragnarsson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Palmer to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ragnarsson pushes a forearm under Palmer's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Palmer is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
