Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Barca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Blye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barca comes to the cage accompanied by Carthage. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucas Blye!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blye throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Barca tries to counter with a takedown but Blye is quick to defend against it.
A big right from Barca misses.
Blye misses with a takedown attempt
and Barca counters with a straight right hand.
Blye shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barca pinned against the cage. Barca gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Barca looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Blye throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Blye gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blye missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Blye is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barca is just riding it out for now. Blye eventually gives up the hold.
Barca wants to control but Blye is keeping busy.

Barca is looking for a sweep. Blye is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Blye moves into full mount! Barca won't be happy about that!
Blye looking to control but Barca is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Blye lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Barca hang on?
Barca is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Barca is wriggling around trying to escape.

Blye breaks from Barca's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Barca bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Blye wants to sweep here but Barca controlling him for the moment.
Barca works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Blye is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Barca not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Blye tries to get to full guard but Barca has control of the leg.

Blye felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Blye is pressing down on Barca's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Blye looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barca is one step ahead there.
Barca slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Blye tries to buck Barca off but Barca is having none of it.
Blye trying to control but Barca flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Barca has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Blye.
Blye tries to roll but Barca sticks to his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barca cracks Blye with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Blye from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Blye is rocked!
Blye is trying to break free.
Blye is still in real trouble! Can Barca finish him?

Barca lands a shot to the body.
Barca drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Blye is in real trouble here! Barca lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Barca is delighted!
