Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cain Dos Anos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Harris!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dos Anos counters with a head kick.
Harris doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dos Anos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Harris has eaten all the pies!
Harris is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dos Anos.
A punch combination from Dos Anos misses.
Nice sprawl there from Dos Anos as Harris shoots in.
Dos Anos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Harris throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Dos Anos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dos Anos cracks Harris with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cain Dos Anos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris looks to throw a body kick
enabling Dos Anos to counter with a crisp jab.

Dos Anos moves into the clinch.
Dos Anos lands a hook that snaps the head of Harris backwards.
Dos Anos avoids a wild elbow strike from Harris.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dos Anos lands a shot to the body.
Dos Anos lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Dos Anos lands with a right to the head.

Harris pulls guard effortlessly.
Harris tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dos Anos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Harris is proving hard to escape from.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dos Anos wants to stand but Harris has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Harris goes for a double leg but Dos Anos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dos Anos continues to drive forward.
We've been told by Dos Anos's head coaches at Animal House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Cain Dos Anos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Harris.
Dos Anos digs a good hook to Harris's body.
Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dos Anos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dos Anos rushes Harris and presses him up against the cage.

Dos Anos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harris shoots in looking for a takedown. Dos Anos tries to sprawl out of it but Harris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dos Anos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Harris looks winded!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harris walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Dos Anos jabs at Harris's body.
Dos Anos scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Dos Anos sizes up Harris with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dos Anos lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dos Anos.
Dos Anos moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dos Anos cracks Harris with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


Harris is rocked!
Dos Anos is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Harris hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Cain Dos Anos!
