Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raja Barat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cotiso Tapae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barat comes to the cage accompanied by Goyang Dumang. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barat lands with a kick to the ribs.
Tapae shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barat sprawls well. Barat wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tapae gets slowly back to his feet.
Barat throws a nice outside leg kick.
Barat connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tapae. Tapae circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Barat connects with a solid leg kick.
Tapae looks for a takedown but Barat sprawls well.
Barat listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Barat looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Raja Barat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cotiso Tapae.
Tapae tries to move into range but Barat moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Barat scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barat stalks Tapae and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tapae's face. Tapae staggers backwards, shaken.

Barat lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Tapae with a poor takedown
and Barat counters with a three punch combo that has Tapae backing up. Tapae nods at Barat to acknowledge the strikes.

and Barat connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Raja Barat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tapae fails with the takedown
and Barat counters with a low kick, right behind Tapae 's knee.
Tapae shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Barat counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Barat counters with a nice body shot.
Barat is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Barat counters with an outside leg kick.
Barat lands a glancing blow to the side of Tapae's head.
Barat connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barat scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A nice combination there by Barat.

and Barat counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Barat really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barat moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Tapae looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Barat lands a two punch combo.

and Barat makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jab, jab by Barat - just one landing.
Tapae on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barat pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tapae back to the cage. Barat follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Barat closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Tapae is rocked!
Barat lands with a big left! Tapae is wobbled badly! Barat comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Tapae to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Raja Barat!
A relieved looking Raja Barat thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
