The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murphy gets a clinch.
Murphy tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Leonidas's elbow.

Leonidas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leonidas works Murphy's body with a nice hook.
Murphy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leonidas.
Leonidas keeps the fight on the outside.
Leonidas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Joe Murphy has been cut.
Leonidas connects with a leg kick. Murphy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Leonidas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Murphy doesn't seem bothered though.

Joe Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Murphy moves into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leonidas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Murphy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Murphy looks to land a combination but Leonidas avoids it well.

Leonidas lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Murphy sprawling to the canvas. Leonidas follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Murphy hang on?

We've been hearing good reports from Leonidas's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Leonidas slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Leonidas has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Murphy has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

After winning the bout, Zeus Leonidas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
