Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Goss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Skog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Skog!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goss tries to move into range but Skog moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Goss blocks a head kick by Skog.
Some bone on bone action there as Goss checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Skog pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Dan Skog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skog goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Skog swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Skog uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Goss has time to react.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Goss will probably get the nod.

Alex Goss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Skog bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goss's guard.

Goss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dan Skog showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alex Goss.
I think Goss has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
