The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardin tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range.

Williams takes the fight into the clinch.
Hardin manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Hardin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hardin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Williams is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hardin to the mat. Hardin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hardin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Williams winds up and cracks Hardin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Hardin is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Williams is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hardin manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Williams is in close to Hardin's body, working some short punches and elbows.
