PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevaughn Aldridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Aldridge might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Smooth Criminal By Michael Jackson. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevaughn Aldridge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Rogan!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldridge throws a head kick that Rogan semi-blocks.


It looks like Joe Rogan has been cut.
Rogan shoots in looking for a takedown. Aldridge tries to sprawl out of it but Rogan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aldridge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A thudding body kick lands there by Aldridge!

Rogan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aldridge to the mat! Aldridge manages to get full guard.

Aldridge has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Rogan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Rogan wants to control but Aldridge is keeping him busy.

Aldridge's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Rogan throws a strike but Aldridge rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Aldridge will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rogan misses with a takedown attempt - Aldridge sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Aldridge scores with a knee to the head.

Aldridge lands a good knee to the midsection. Rogan won't want to take too many of those.

That has opened up Joe Rogan's cut even more.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Aldridge obliges.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Aldridge steps into range and cracks Rogan with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Rogan flops backwards and Aldridge dives into his guard looking to finish!
Aldridge is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Our spies down at at V C L training center (HOME OF THE TRUE CHAMPION inform us that Rogan has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Aldridge slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Aldridge goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


Joe Rogan's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Rogan shoots in but Aldridge avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rogan shoots for a takedown but Aldridge saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rogan is breathing heavily.
Aldridge circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Rogan drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Aldridge follows Rogan to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevaughn Aldridge!
Our winner, Kevaughn Aldridge, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Joe Rogan was interviewed post fight and said 'I Blame God for this Loss. He just wasn't with me tonight.'.
