Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Kvasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitch Roxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kvasov comes to the cage accompanied by Diskoteka avaria-Nebo. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roman Kvasov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitch Roxton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roxton misses with a combination
and Kvasov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Roxton throws a body kick that misses.
Kvasov wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Roxton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Roxton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kvasov circles away quickly and effectively.
Kvasov misses with a few strikes there.
Roxton throws a right hand that Kvasov ducks under and follows up with a left that Kvasov also avoids with ease.
Kvasov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Roxton throws a series of punches but Kvasov moves out of range.
Roxton thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kvasov if he has to take too many more of those.
Roxton throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Kvasov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kvasov throws a shot from downtown. Roxton moves away and avoids it.
Roxton throws a series of punches but Kvasov avoids them all with ease.
As Roxton looks to move away, Kvasov throws a big counter combo but Roxton just gets out of the way.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kvasov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Roxton. That did some damage!
Roxton takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Kvasov tries to clinch but Roxton is having none of it.

Kvasov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Roxton throws out a loose jab but Kvasov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Roxton throws the kick towards the body but Kvasov avoids it.
Roxton pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Roxton is looking to chop away at Kvasov's legs.
Kvasov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Roxton throws a combination that misses
and Kvasov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mitch Roxton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kvasov misses with a straight left.
Kvasov throws a hook to the side of Roxton's head but Roxton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kvasov blocks a jab.
Roxton throws a series of punches but Kvasov moves out of range.
Kvasov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Roxton throws a sloppy head kick and Kvasov moves out of range easily.
Roxton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Roxton throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Roxton is looking to chop away at Kvasov's legs.

Roxton looks to land a combination but Kvasov avoids it well.
Kvasov moves away from the strike by Roxton.
Kvasov tries to counter by clinching up but Roxton breaks away and moves out of range.
Roxton lands a high kick!


It looks like Roman Kvasov has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kvasov avoids a kick to the body.
Roxton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kvasov is looking to counter the offense by Roxton and move into the clinch.
Roxton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kvasov tries to bum rush Roxton with a series of wild strikes but Roxton uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Roxton fails with the takedown.
Kvasov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Kvasov closes the distance and pushes Roxton back into the cage.
Kvasov pushes Roxton back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Kvasov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Roman Kvasov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roxton lands with a kick to the temple. Kvasov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Roxton throws a head kick that misses.
A counter left hand to the body from Kvasov misses its target.
Roxton misses with an uppercut. Kvasov saw that one coming.
Good leg kick by Kvasov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Roxton moves out of range of the leg kick from Kvasov.
Roxton scores with a hook.
Kvasov is looking to clinch but Roxton is avoiding it.
Kvasov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kvasov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kvasov throws a looping overhand right but Roxton ducks down to avoid it.
Roxton waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kvasov.
Roxton takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kvasov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kvasov takes one to the side of the head.
Roxton throws a left and a right that both miss

and Kvasov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kvasov works on Roxton's body with a couple of short punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kvasov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Roxton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick by Roxton misses
and Kvasov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kvasov goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Roxton throws a combination that misses

and Kvasov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kvasov.

Kvasov manages to break the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Roxton darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A combination from Roxton does no damage.
Nice uppercut lands for Kvasov. That snapped Roxton's head back.
Roxton misses with a right hand
and Kvasov counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Roxton badly! He tries to strike back but Kvasov puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Roxton out cold! Oh man, Roxton will never hear the end of this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Roman Kvasov!
Roman Kvasov decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
