Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henderson Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Wuzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Henderson Cormier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Wuzz!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wuzz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wuzz tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Sloppy strikes there by Wuzz.

Wuzz tries for a kimura but Cormier is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wuzz tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Wuzz goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cormier has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wuzz but great work by Cormier.
Wuzz has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Wuzz sneaks back into half guard.

Cormier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wuzz is just riding it out for now. Cormier eventually gives up the hold.

Cormier looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wuzz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wuzz.
Cormier trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Cormier tries to free his leg and advance position but Wuzz is retaining full guard.
Wuzz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cormier's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wuzz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wuzz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cormier swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wuzz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wuzz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wuzz wants to pass the guard but Cormier is keeping the position.

Cormier is working an open guard so Wuzz takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Wuzz counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Wuzz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Wuzz has gone for a leg lock! Cormier slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wuzz's guard.

Wuzz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Cormier slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Cormier managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Wuzz.

Cormier is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wuzz asserts his dominance and retains side control.

As Wuzz looks to move away, Cormier throws a big counter combo but Wuzz just gets out of the way.

Wuzz tries to clinch but Cormier moves out of range.
Cormier dives in and grabs Wuzz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wuzz pushes down on Cormier's head and hops out.

Cormier sets himself, and Wuzz steps forward looking for the clinch! Cormier avoids it this time.

Henderson Cormier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Wuzz.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wuzz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cormier looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cormier looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cormier!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cormier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cormier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Cormier slaps away a takedown attempt from Wuzz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wuzz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cormier paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cormier dives in for a single leg takedown but Wuzz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Cormier is pressed up against the cage. Wuzz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cormier down to the mat. Cormier avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Cormier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wuzz tries to avoid it but Cormier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wuzz to the ground. Wuzz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wuzz is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henderson Cormier. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cormier got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wuzz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cormier has managed to get both his arms back between Wuzz's legs - danger averted.

David Wuzz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wuzz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
