Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akito Toyotoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pascal Lhant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lhant has chosen IQ - From the Outside In as his entrance music. Pascal Lhant has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toyotoku lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Toyotoku throws a sloppy head kick and Lhant moves out of range easily.

Lhant feints the counter takedown.

Lhant closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lhant lands in his opponent's guard.

Toyotoku wriggles free and stands up.

Lhant moves out of range of the body kick from Toyotoku.

Lhant looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Lhant seems content to control.

Toyotoku has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lhant tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Lhant wants to control the pace but Toyotoku is squirming around nicely.

Lhant jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Toyotoku manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Lhant tries to free his leg and advance position but Toyotoku is retaining full guard.
Toyotoku trying to keep a closed guard but Lhant is proving a slippery customer.

Lhant is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Toyotoku tries to roll over but Lhant keeps him under control.
Lhant throwing shots but Toyotoku is blocking nicely.
Toyotoku wants to improve his position but Lhant is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lhant prevents Toyotoku from standing back up.
Lhant is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pascal Lhant dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Toyotoku turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Toyotoku stuffs the takedown attempt from Lhant. Lhant gets slowly back to his feet.
A little feinted left hand from Toyotoku on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Akito Toyotoku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Toyotoku lands a brutal head kick. Lhant looks out on his feet and Toyotoku throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
