Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Tourney Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Tourney Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe lands with an overhand left.
Doe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fighter manages to avoid it.
Doe lands with a good body shot.
A jab from Doe misses.
Nice cross by Fighter.
We've been hearing reports that Fighter has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Fighter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fighter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Doe looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Doe misses with a hook. Fighter ducked under it nicely.
Fighter appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Doe takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Fighter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Doe.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Doe.
It looked like Fighter was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fighter scores with a jab to the body.

Doe cracks Fighter with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the cage! Can Fighter get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Fighter looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!


Fighter is rocked!
Fighter lands a front kick.
Oh Fighter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Doe thows a left - swing and a miss!
Fighter seems to have got his legs back now.
An inside leg kick from Fighter misses.
Doe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fighter jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Doe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fighter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Doe to score with a decent uppercut.

Doe connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Fighter onto his butt! Fighter bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Fighter misses with an uppercut.
Fighter fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Doe is out of range.
Doe cracks a nice hook into Fighter's ribs.
Fighter needs to keep his hands up - Doe had a free shot at his head there.
A head kick misses from Fighter.
Doe throws out a counter right but Fighter avoids it with no problem.
Doe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Doe slips a straight right by Fighter.
Fighter drops his guard momentarily, allowing Doe to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Fighter! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Doe takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). John Doe!
John Doe seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
