PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Igydo Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Hughs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dall might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Blue Ice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dall just misses with a punch to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hughs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dall connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Hughs slips under a jab from Dall.
Hughs feints a counter leg kick.

Hughs gets caught flat footed, as Dall shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Dall trying to control but Hughs is working from the bottom.
Hughs can't keep his opponent in guard - Dall advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dall moves into full mount! Hughs won't be happy about that!

Dall is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hughs has managed to escape the submission attempt.

You can see the frustration on Hughs's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
