Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike McGloin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dyson Too!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Too is trying hard to land a takedown here. McGloin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Too gets a takedown into half guard.
McGloin wants to control but Too is keeping busy.
Too throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing McGloin to regain full guard.
McGloin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Too working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Too trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
McGloin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Too doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Too manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Too cracks McGloin with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Too with a flurry of punches that miss.
Too really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGloin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Too accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McGloin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Too.
Too working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McGloin's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Too works over McGloin with some ground and pound from guard.
Too working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
McGloin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
McGloin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Too.
McGloin has momentary wrist control but Too slips an elbow through the middle.
Too lands a couple of elbows.
McGloin is rocked!
Too distracts McGloin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Oh McGloin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Too gets to his feet and stands over McGloin, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! McGloin felt that one! Too unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save McGloin from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dyson Too!
A very excited looking Dyson Too made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
