Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Hilkemoeller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Mill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hilkemoeller comes into the arena with FREI.WILD - Irgendwer steht dir zur Seite blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mill throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hilkemoeller counters with a three punch combo that has Mill backing up. Mill nods at Hilkemoeller to acknowledge the strikes.
Mill lands a body shot.
Mill misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Hilkemoeller counters with a nice uppercut.

Mill gets a clinch.
Hilkemoeller wants to break free but Mill has control.
Hilkemoeller takes a shot to the head.
I was talking to Hilkemoeller's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mill creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mill keeps control of Hilkemoeller as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Hilkemoeller escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hilkemoeller takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mill fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hilkemoeller manages to avoid it.
As Mill backs away, Hilkemoeller returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Mill's corner calls for a 1-2. Mill obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mill drops Hilkemoeller onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Hilkemoeller is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Mike Mill was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
