Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xyaire Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bragi Ragnarson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Xyaire Howard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bragi Ragnarson!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ragnarson connects with the punch.
Howard seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Howard clinches up against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ragnarson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Xyaire Howard has been cut.

Ragnarson manages to break the clinch.
Howard slips under a jab from Ragnarson.
Ragnarson tests Howard's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ragnarson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ragnarson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Howard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ragnarson as he avoids it easily.
Ragnarson throws a lazy right hand but Howard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Ragnarson misses the target.
Ragnarson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Howard shoots in for a takedown but Ragnarson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ragnarson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Howard's calf.
Howard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ragnarson tries to avoid it but Howard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ragnarson to the ground. Ragnarson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xyaire Howard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ragnarson connects with a nice looking jab.
Ragnarson scores with a shot to the body.
Howard is breathing heavily.
Ragnarson tries to bum rush Howard with a series of wild strikes but Howard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ragnarson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Howard sprawling to the canvas! Howard rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ragnarson finish him?!


Howard is rocked!
Howard throws a head kick that misses
and Ragnarson counters with a huge right that knocks Howard out cold! Ragnarson is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bragi Ragnarson!
A relieved looking Bragi Ragnarson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
