The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gouveia looks to throw the jab but McManus is out of range.
Gouveia throws a good cross that connects.
Gouveia dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gouveia swings and misses with a shot to the body

and McManus counters with a crisp one two that drops Gouveia! McManus thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gouveia to his feet! Gouveia is in big trouble!

McManus avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McManus misses with a straight right.
Gouveia lands with an uppercut that bounces McManus off the cage and back into range.

McManus looks to land a combination but Gouveia avoids it well.
A quick step to the side and Gouveia tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gouveia misses with a two punch combination.
Gouveia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gouveia misses with a hook.
McManus slaps away a takedown attempt from Gouveia, before circling back to the center of the mat.
McManus is looking for the big counter here.
Gouveia seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Gustavo Gouveia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McManus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gouveia.
Gouveia fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McManus avoids it really well and circles away.

McManus lands with a right and another and another! Gouveia is in big trouble! McManus lands again and this time it's lights out for Gouveia! A quality knockout there for McManus.
