Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lim escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Newson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lim throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Newson escapes and throws Lim's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Lim is trying to control Newson's posture but Newson avoids it.
Lim is pushing Newson's head away, looking to escape. Newson manages to hold on to the position though.

Lim bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

and Newson counters with a left and a right that stings Lim.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lim.

That was a close round but I would say that Jase Newson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Newson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lim's knee momentarily.

Lim looks to throw the jab but Newson is out of range.
Newson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Newson throws out a leg kick but Lim moves out of range and Newson only half commits.
Yo Hwan Lim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Newson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lim somewhat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lim or perhaps it was just good defense by Newson, which made it look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Newson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lim has time to react.

Lim takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lim looks for the body kick but Newson saw that one coming.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lim crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Newson - the referee stops the clock and Lim gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Newson. Lim manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Lim looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lim shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Newson as he jumps to the side.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
