The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smaug throws an overhand right that lands on McGee's shoulder, as McGee tries to avoid the shot.
Smaug rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Smaug takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Cinder Smaug has been cut.
Smaug throws a hook but McGee avoids it easily.
Smaug lands a nice hook to McGee's body. McGee takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McGee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McGee misses with a looping right.
McGee scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
McGee tries to bum rush Smaug with a series of wild strikes but Smaug uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No joy there for McGee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McGee moves out of range of the strikes.
Smaug lands with a kick to the ribs.

Smaug tries to land a front kick but McGee steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Smaug cracks McGee with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! McGee looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Smaug finish him?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGee walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles McGee limp body while Smaug jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
