PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Henrik Torhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Chabala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torhammer's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Doom Unit - Killing Time. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torhammer throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Torhammer misses with the combination.
Torhammer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Chabala.
Torhammer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Torhammer shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Nice defenses there by Chabala.
Chabala looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Torhammer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Chabala tests Torhammer's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Chabala takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chabala throws a shot to the body.
Chabala on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Chabala tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Torhammer defends well and Chabala ends up having to push Torhammer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Chabala looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chabala misses with a low kick.
Chabala connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Torhammer misses with a looping right.
Chabala scores with a kick to the midsection.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Torhammer.
Torhammer connects with a looping right hand.
Torhammer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chabala tried to score with a low kick but Torhammer checks it.
Torhammer looks to land a right hand but Chabala moved out of range.
Torhammer cracks Chabala with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Matt Chabala has been cut.
Chabala throws a low kick but Torhammer avoids it.

Chabala shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Torhammer regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Chabala.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Chabala stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Torhammer has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Chabala manages to get his head free but now Torhammer has transitioned to an armbar! Chabala grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Torhammer! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
