PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Harder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hugo Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martin Harder!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harder changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wolf tries to avoid it but Harder manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wolf to the ground. Wolf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As Harder tries to get set, Wolf tries to push him back and clinch up but Harder manages to avoid the attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Harder.
Harder has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wolf tightens his grip and picks Harder up, before dumping him to the ground. Harder manages to land in guard.
Wolf postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Wolf working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Harder's head.
Harder working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wolf doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wolf manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wolf makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Harder looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wolf is one step ahead there.
Wolf is working Harder over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wolf arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Harder's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

A very excited looking Hugo Wolf made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
