Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brophy.
Jackson leaves Brophy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Brophy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jackson was covering up waiting for the punch and Brophy finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jackson wriggles free and stands up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brophy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Brophy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jackson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jackson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brophy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jackson.

Brophy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson wants to sweep but Brophy has passed to side control!

Brophy decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brophy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Brophy pushes him off.
Jackson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Jackson stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Brophy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Brophy, which made it look bad.
Jackson on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson.
Jackson darts in looking for a takedown but Brophy gets double underhooks and turns Jackson into the cage.

Jackson tries to keep at a distance but Brophy has taken the fight into the clinch.

Jackson is looking to stand up but Brophy won't let him.

Brophy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jackson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Brophy has tightened it up now! Jackson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
