The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slade throws a big shot that misses.
Avreli has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Slade finds it's way round the side to connect with Avreli's head.

It looks like Mark Avreli has been cut.
Avreli slips a jab from Slade.
Slade throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slade misses with the combination.
Slade misses with a straight left.
Slade scores with a one two! Avreli had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Slade throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Avreli moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Avreli misses the shot to the body.
Avreli showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Slade.
Avreli feints the counter takedown.
Tyrone Slade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Slade lands a big head kick that sends Avreli tumbling to the mat! Slade takes a step backwards and waves Avreli back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Slade throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Slade lands with a hook. Avreli tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

The cut above Mark Avreli's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Avreli tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Avreli keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Slade throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Avreli.
Avreli avoids a punch combination nicely.
Avreli tries a quick counter leg kick but Slade is wise to it.

Slade swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Slade fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Avreli has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Slade throws a right and a left that both miss.
Avreli pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Slade appears to be looking for a big counter.
Avreli avoids a punch combination nicely.
Avreli works the jab nicely.
Slade lunges at Avreli with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Avreli's hand.

Mark Avreli's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Avreli has a takedown stuffed.
Slade looks to score with a jab to the body but Avreli is just out of range.
Slade avoids the head kick by Avreli.
A head kick misses from Avreli.
Avreli shoots for a takedown but Slade saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tyrone Slade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Avreli.
