Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eddie Yagin!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yagin leaves Taylor with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Taylor shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yagin is trying to defend but Taylor finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Taylor is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Yagin is refusing to be controlled, as Taylor sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yagin controlling the position well.

Taylor seems to be working for a kimura but Yagin defends the submission attempt.

Taylor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yagin's head.

Taylor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yagin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Taylor.
Taylor is looking to advance position but Yagin won't allow it.
Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yagin keeps working.

Taylor is trying to control. Yagin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Yagin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Taylor in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Yagin tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Taylor!
