Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Craig Nice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Aragao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aragao tries for a takedown but Nice circles away easily
and Nice counters with a one-two to the body.
Nice shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Aragao defends it nicely.
Some wild striking there from Aragao.
It looked like Nice wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Aragao looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nice is looking to counter with head kicks.
Nice misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Aragao tries to close the distance and clinch but Nice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nice clinches up against the cage.
A short uppercut from Nice.
Nice fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nice lands with a short shot to the head.

Nice pulls guard.

Nice working for a triangle but Aragao defends it easily.

Nice is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Aragao's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Nice is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nice working for a triangle but Aragao defends it easily.
Aragao connects with a couple of short punches.

Nice throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Aragao escapes and throws Nice's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Nice is breathing heavily.
Aragao is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Nice's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Aragao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nice keeps working.
Nice is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Aragao asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Nice knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aragao on the ground.

Aragao has hold of Nice's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Nice tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Aragao cranks the arm and Nice screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Nice, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
