Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mashrafe Mortaza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quintonio Vazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mortaza closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mortaza lands in his opponent's guard.

Vazquez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mortaza defends well.

Mortaza drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mortaza jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mortaza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Vazquez is refusing to be controlled, as Mortaza sits in half guard.

Vazquez is looking for a sweep. Mortaza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mortaza thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Vazquez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Vazquez felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Mortaza is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vazquez defends it well.

Mortaza uses his free foot to push down on Vazquez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vazquez.

Vazquez turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mortaza off and cradles Vazquez's limp body as Mortaza celebrates with his corner.
