The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford misses with a body shot.
Ford avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shoyoroll doesn't manage to clinch there - Ford circles away.
Shoyoroll throws a lazy right hand but Ford sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ford fires out a quick counter leg kick but Shoyoroll just manages to avoid it.

and Shoyoroll takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Xande Shoyoroll has been cut.
Shoyoroll closes the distance and clinches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shoyoroll pivots and extends the arm, Ford falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Shoyoroll! Well done that man!

After the fight, Xande Shoyoroll was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
