The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pan fails with an attempt to clinch.

Michaels goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Michaels but great work by Pan.

Pan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Michaels has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Parker Michaels will probably get the nod.

Michaels slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Pan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Michaels sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
