The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominiguez avoids the head kick by Longwe.
Dominiguez looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Longwe.
Will Longwe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Longwe throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dominiguez counters with a left and a right that stings Longwe.
Longwe does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nice sprawl there from Dominiguez as Longwe shoots in.
Longwe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Longwe throws a head kick that misses.

Dominiguez clinches with his opponent.

Dominiguez breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Longwe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Longwe wants to clinch but Dominiguez slips to the side
and Dominiguez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dominiguez clinches up with Longwe and pushes him back against the cage.
Dominiguez keeps control of Longwe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Dominiguez lands an elbow that stopped Longwe in his tracks for a moment.
Dominiguez manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Dominiguez will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Longwe up against the cage.
Longwe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dominiguez walks away with a smile on his face. Longwe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Longwe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Longwe tries for a takedown but Dominiguez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dominiguez feints a counter leg kick.
Crunch! Dominiguez slams his shin into Longwe's torso.

and Dominiguez counters with a low kick, right behind Longwe 's knee.

Longwe takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Longwe thows a leg kick but Dominiguez checks it
and Dominiguez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dominiguez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Longwe is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dominiguez cracks Longwe's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Longwe slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Dominiguez can do further damage! This one is done, son!
