Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Neal Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Galera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Galera will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Neal Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Galera!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galera misses the shot to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Cash manages to break the clinch.

Galera throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cash tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Galera is in Cash's guard.
Galera postures up.
Galera is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Galera changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Cash could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cash can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Galera controls the pace.

Galera loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Galera must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cash wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Galera is now in half guard.

Galera is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cash defends it well.

Galera thows a huge punch but Cash dodges it nicely.
Cash might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cash tries to roll over but Galera keeps him under control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Galera connects with a nice short shot to Cash's temple.

Well, if Galera is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cash wants to control but Galera is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Cash is in trouble now - Galera has advanced to mount!
Cash is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Cash really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Cash tries to lock up and control but Galera gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cash regains half guard.
Galera wants to control but Cash is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cash has his feet on Galera's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Cash goes for a takedown attempt but Galera pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Galera dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Galera decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cash has one foot on Galera's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Neal Cash is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cash tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Galera paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Galera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Galera shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Cash controls Galera momentarily but Galera frees himself.

Dave Galera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cash digs a good body shot into Galera's ribs.

Galera jumps guard and drags Cash to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Galera is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cash is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cash has escaped and now he's on top!

Cash seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Galera for as long as he can get away with.
Neal Cash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dave Galera is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Cash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Galera works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Neal Cash.
Well Galera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
