PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Vonnegut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Vonnegut's choice of entrance music: Slipknot - People=Shit. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vonnegut tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cena swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cena prevents Vonnegut from escaping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vonnegut's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vonnegut moves in looking to clinch but Cena pushes him off.
Cena shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vonnegut sprawls well. Vonnegut wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cena gets slowly back to his feet.

Vonnegut fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cena, pushing him back against the cage.

Vonnegut connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Cena goes down! Vonnegut jumps into full mount looking to finish!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vonnegut wants to control the pace but Cena is squirming around nicely.
Oh Cena is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vonnegut lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Cena! Vonnegut sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Cena and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Steve Vonnegut!
Steve Vonnegut spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
