Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luigi Vercotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vercotti has chosen Poverty - Ennio Morricone as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Luigi Vercotti was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luigi Vercotti!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vercotti loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch.
Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Brown goes for a double leg but Vercotti avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vercotti continues to drive forward.
Vercotti throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Brown counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vercotti throws out a loose jab but Brown uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brown throws a looping overhand right but Vercotti ducks down to avoid it.
Brown looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Vercotti closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brown's guard.

Vercotti trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Brown is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Vercotti got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vercotti has managed to get both his arms back between Brown's legs - danger averted.

Brown keeping moving, preventing Vercotti from controlling successfully.
Vercotti is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Brown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vercotti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Vercotti working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Vercotti throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vercotti is looking to work some ground and pound but Brown has wrist control.

Vercotti stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Brown throws up his legs and catches Vercotti in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Vercotti tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Brown! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Daniel Brown!
