Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Shimabukuro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shimabukuro might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Warrior. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers throws a series of punches but Shimabukuro moves out of range.
Nice body punch from Powers.
A looping hook to the body misses from Powers. Shimabukuro does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shimabukuro dodges the punch combination from Powers.
Shimabukuro misses with an attempted mid kick.
Powers throws a right and a left that Shimabukuro avoids nicely.

Shimabukuro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shimabukuro wants it to stay on the feet.

and Shimabukuro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Powers closes the distance and clinches up with Shimabukuro, looking for a takedown. Powers pushes Shimabukuro against the cage but Shimabukuro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Powers cracks Shimabukuro with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Shimabukuro takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Powers lands a really nice looking cross but Shimabukuro seems unphased.
Shimabukuro looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Shimabukuro drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Powers throws a series of punches but Shimabukuro avoids them all with ease.

As Powers looks to move away, Shimabukuro throws a big counter combo but Powers just gets out of the way.
Powers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shimabukuro manages to avoid it.

Powers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Troy Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Powers lands a nice shot to the body.
Oh Shimabukuro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Powers comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Shimabukuro is breathing heavily.
Powers finds Shimabukuro's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Shimabukuro flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Powers lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Shimabukuro will be OK.

A less than humble Troy Powers misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
