Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Bosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chad Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bosh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hardy's guard.
Hardy wants to stand and escape but Bosh is having none of it.
Bosh trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hardy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bosh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bosh advances to half guard.
Bosh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hardy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bosh is looking to take a break and control but Hardy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bosh is looking to stall here but Hardy recovers full guard.
Bosh trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bosh slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bosh is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hardy is not content to let Bosh control the position.
Hardy wants to improve his position but Bosh is controlling well.
Bosh passes to full mount!
Bosh looking to control but Hardy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bosh throwing strikes here but Hardy is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Hardy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hardy tries to hold on but Bosh pushes him away.

Bosh has control of Hardy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hardy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bosh breaks from Hardy's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Bosh tries to control but Hardy wriggling away.
Bosh can't control as he wanted to and Hardy manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Hardy is looking to escape.

Bosh has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hardy defend it? Bosh steps over the head and cranks it - Hardy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bosh!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chris Bosh!
After winning the bout, Chris Bosh thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
The defeated Chad Hardy had this to say: 'As always I can do everything through Christ my lord and savior who strengthens me. Without him I wouldn't be here tonight. Don't worry I'll be back.'.
