Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cornelis Spilbergen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shaka KaSolomon!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
KaSolomon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spilbergen as he avoids it easily.
Spilbergen is looking to counter the offense by KaSolomon and move into the clinch.
KaSolomon misses with a takedown attempt
and Spilbergen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Spilbergen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spilbergen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
KaSolomon swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Spilbergen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Spilbergen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
KaSolomon misses with a jab to the body
and Spilbergen counters with a lovely shot to the body.
KaSolomon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
KaSolomon throws a body punch but Spilbergen moves out of range.
Spilbergen seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
KaSolomon ducks under a wild hook from Spilbergen.
KaSolomon dives in for a single leg takedown but Spilbergen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Cornelis Spilbergen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shaka KaSolomon.
KaSolomon walks into a straight right hand from Spilbergen.
KaSolomon throws a sloppy body shot

and Spilbergen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Spilbergen.

Spilbergen controlling the action here for a moment.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Spilbergen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
KaSolomon tries to pull guard but Spilbergen forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Spilbergen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of KaSolomons head.
KaSolomon can't get the takedown.
Spilbergen prevents the takedown attempt.
KaSolomon is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Spilbergen is keeping busy.
KaSolomon wants a takedown but no success here.
The referee is keeping an eye on Spilbergen - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
KaSolomon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Spilbergen gets the underhooks and prevents it.
KaSolomon tries for a takedown but Spilbergen manages to get underhooks.
Spilbergen scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Spilbergen stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
A nice left hand lands by Spilbergen.
Spilbergen is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

KaSolomon wants the takedown. Spilbergen is fighting it off but KaSolomon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Spilbergen's guard against the cage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spilbergen can't keep his opponent in guard - KaSolomon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

KaSolomon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Spilbergen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
KaSolomon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

KaSolomon looking for a guillotine from mount but Spilbergen is having none of it.
Spilbergen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Spilbergen tries to get out of the position.
Spilbergen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

KaSolomon is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by KaSolomon!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Shaka KaSolomon!
A relieved looking Shaka KaSolomon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
