The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brunson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Brunson, as that shot connected.

It looks like Ryo Rossi has been cut.

Rossi gets a clinch.
Brunson stops a takedown attempt from Rossi.
Nice elbow from Brunson.
Brunson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Brunson tries to work over Rossi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rossi is trying to drag Brunson to the mat but Brunson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rossi tries for a takedown but Brunson manages to get underhooks.
Doyle Brunson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryo Rossi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rossi has hold of one of Brunson's legs. Brunson is fighting the takedown attempt but Rossi gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rossi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rossi drops back looking for a leg! Brunson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brunson manages to kick Rossi off! Rossi jumps back into Brunson's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brunson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rossi on the side of the head.

That has opened up Ryo Rossi's cut even more.
A decent looking cross lands there for Brunson.

Rossi has managed to clinch.
Still in the clinch, Brunson scores with a nice short uppercut.

Ryo Rossi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
