The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franchise tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Northcutt was well out of range. Poor timing from Franchise.
Northcutt moves out of range as Franchise throws a body kick.
Franchise throws a good cross that connects.
Stevie Franchise seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Northcutt connects with a single shot there.
Northcutt has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Northcutt blocks a head kick by Franchise.
Northcutt walks into a jab.
Franchise lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Northcutt backs up against the cage.
Franchise misses with a two punch combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Northcutt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Northcutt.
Northcutt keeps control of Franchise as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Franchise has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Northcutt is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Franchise pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Northcutt wants to take the fight to the mat but Franchise manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Northcutt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Franchise darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Franchise connects with a right hand. Northcutt shakes it off.
Franchise takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Franchise changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Northcutt is still on wobbly legs! Can Franchise finish him?
Franchise throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Nice uppercut lands for Franchise. That snapped Northcutt's head back.
Franchise dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Franchise is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Northcutt like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Northcutt from another fist facial!

After the fight, Stevie Franchise was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
