Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Jouban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Gamrot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jouban moves to clinch but Gamrot breaks away

so Gamrot counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jouban will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jouban wants to stand but Gamrot is controlling the position.

Gamrot thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jouban wants to get back to his feet but Gamrot is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gamrot accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gamrot is looking to work some ground and pound but Jouban has wrist control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Gamrot takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jouban throws a body kick that misses.
Jouban tries to close the distance and clinch but Gamrot swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gamrot unleashes a big counter combination but Jouban bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Gamrot fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jouban avoids it really well and circles away.

Gamrot shoots for a double leg takedown but Jouban sprawls well. He's pushed Gamrot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A close round but Mamed Gamrot will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gamrot goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Jouban escapes and is now in half guard on top.

Mamed Gamrot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Gamrot's coach down at Canadian Dragon MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gamrot's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
