The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roca lands with a right hand.

It looks like Gerrald James has been cut.
James connects with a nice looking jab.

Roca sends James crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Roca is motioning to the referee to let James up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Roca just misses with a punch to the body.

Roca throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Roca lands a nice hook to James's body. James takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

A little feinted left hand from James on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
James tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Roca was well out of range. Poor timing from James.

and Roca counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
James rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roca moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
James fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Roca ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Roca takes one on the chin but seems OK.
James misses with a looping left.
James lands a lovely overhand right.

Gerrald James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from James there as he acknowledges the shot.

James lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Roca throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Roca throws a jab but it's blocked by James.
Roca ducks down and throws a hook to the body but James moves away.
James ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
James throws a combination that misses

and Roca counters with a crisp right hand that drops James! Roca lets James back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh James is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and James counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
James swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Roca counters with a big left hand that crumples James! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
