Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafal Zamana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baker comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Get in My Way. Zamana is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Modestep - Show Me A Sign. Steven Baker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steven Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rafal Zamana!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zamana to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Zamana wants to control from the top but Baker keeps moving.

Zamana got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zamana has managed to get both his arms back between Baker's legs - danger averted.
Zamana not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Zamana in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zamana has gone for a leg lock! Baker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zamana's guard.

Baker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Baker drives through and clinches with Zamana against the cage.

Zamana breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Zamana controls Baker momentarily but Baker frees himself.

That was a close round but I would say that Steven Baker will probably get the nod.

Baker tightens his grip and picks Zamana up, before dumping him to the ground. Zamana manages to land in guard.
Baker wants to pass the guard but Zamana is keeping the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Baker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Zamana stuffs the takedown.

Zamana drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Baker looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Baker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zamana gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Zamana must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Baker wants to control but Zamana passes easily into half guard.

Zamana is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Baker trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Zamana manages to pass to mount!

Baker wants to control but Zamana is having none of it.
Zamana looking to control and managing it successfully.
Zamana wants to control the pace but Baker is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Zamana wants to control the pace but Baker is squirming around nicely.
Baker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Zamana scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Zamana manages to capitalize on a mistake by Baker to take his back!
Zamana is trying to stick to Baker's back but Baker is turning into Zamana. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Zamana's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Baker.
Baker wants to control from the top but Zamana keeps moving.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Zamana will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

A close second round but Rafal Zamana will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Zamana is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Baker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Zamana.

Baker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zamana pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I think Zamana has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
