Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Renton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Merrimac Mjolnir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renton comes to the cage accompanied by A Small Victory. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mjolnir looks to land a left hand but Renton moved out of range nicely.

Mjolnir moves into the clinch.
Renton tries to break the clinch but Mjolnir is controlling the position.
Mjolnir misses with a knee strike.
Renton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Mjolnir tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Mjolnir tries to land a knee to the head but Renton blocks with his arms.
Mjolnir throws a knee to the head but misses.

Renton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mjolnir wants to get up but he can't break Renton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mjolnir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Renton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mjolnir stands up and beckons Renton to join him on the feet.

Renton fails to land with a series of punches.

Renton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Mjolnir counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Mjolnir looking to finish!

Mjolnir stands and steps away. Renton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mjolnir drops Renton with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Renton looks back up at him and smiles so Mjolnir waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mjolnir.
Renton is breathing heavily.
Renton fails with the takedown
and Mjolnir counters with a monster head kick that knocks Renton out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!
