PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vasile Carlova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Vasile Carlova has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vasile Carlova seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlova tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A slow jab from Gracie misses its intended target.
Carlova drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gracie sprawls and moves away.
Carlova wants to clinch.
Carlova is looking to clinch.
A head kick from Carlova lands but Gracie takes it in his stride.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Carlova wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is dominant here and he's now got Carlova's back!

Gracie working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Carlova is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Gracie has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Carlova taps out!

Anderson Gracie decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
